Product Review: Back to Basics

I'm 50 years old, (difficult to put that in black and white), and wanted a large dial, non electronic scale to guide me through my "mid-life, must loose weight now crises". Besides showing higher numbers than I'd like, the scale is performing quite well.
I've been using the scale for around 6 weeks now. Temperature is not a problem like the electronic scale I previously used. The only negatives I can determine is that the lines between the numbers are difficult to make out and hince, the exact weight reading is not always an exact science. (This may be because I'm trying to read it at 5 AM) Also, with any mechanical driven instrument, it must be re-zeroed often. Anyway, I highly recommend the scale to anyone who may be tired of the "Jimmy Neutron" style of doing everything in life and going back to basics that work.

I've used this scale every day for 3 months and it has to be re-zeroed every time I get on it. The mat is made of thin paper/plastic material which began peeling off immediately. On the plus side, it seems to give consistent weights, +/- a couple of pounds. I won't return it, only because it was free to begin with, using an Amazon coupon.

Heavy duty, low cost, big. Looks like it would have cost more than it did. Definetly keeping up with the Jones's. Well worth the cost.Product Review: Didn't seem too durable to me

I don't know how long a scale is supposed to last, but after about 18 months of light use, this scale is very difficult to read, because the needle is all over the place. As I stand on it and try to read my weight, the reading varies as much as 7 pounds.
It was good for a while, then got kind of flaky.
