I bought one of these lights last year for my computer area. I liked it so much, I bought another one for my sewing area. It throws great light, regardless of the "happiness factor". Then you add it's light therapy qualities, and it's doubly great! I highly recommend this light to anyone who needs a good light source that takes up little table space and for anyone who deals with SAD during the winter months.Product Review: I'm so happy...

After a few months of debating whether or not I needed the extra light for my work space I made the great choice of purchasing the HappyLite. I've been using it the past few weeks and have really enjoyed how it brightens up the dark corner better than a regular lamp.
Now my only concern is how to order an extra bulb.... (guess I should read the materials it came with).

Bottom line: it works. I've used this for about 2 and a half months, during the winter. It almost instantly improved my mood, and after a while people have started to comment positively on my attitude and mood. Before, I couldn't stand going to work, and wanted to climb in the bed and hibernate. But now, when I get in the office, I turn on my lamp and it's like my morning coffee. I'm ready to go, I can focus, and am more productive.
It is a must-have for people who suffer from seasonal depression.

I've used this rather unique light for a little over a month now, and am completely pleased with the results. I work in a 9' x 6' cubicle, lit only by the hanging fluorescents, which actually make my work space feel cavernous. The Verilux light immediately makes its presence known, and almost completely cancels out my awareness of the yellowish, sickly cast fluorescents. I do not find myself getting heavy bouts of sleepiness anymore and am generally more alert. Whether or not all of those physiological and emotional changes can be correlated to the Verilux or it is just placebo, the independent virtue of this lamp is in making me temporarily forget about the carcinogenic, pathetically unflattering aesthetic of the ceiling lights.
