Product Review: An Utter de-Light

A native Californian, I was distraught to be stuck in Seattle for work. After 4 months of winter, my boyfriend noticed the long dark days were having a distinct effect on my mood. I was tired, withdrawn, and lacking energy. By 3 in the afternoon, I was ready for a nap.
He bought me the HappyLight.
I packed the little box into my rolly suitcase and brought it with me to Seattle. While plastic, it survived the trip easily. It now lives on my desk in the hotel room, casting its glow over my laptop where I eat and play each evening. It does not generate an excess of heat (though if you leave it on for hours upon hours the back gets warm) but casts the promised "full spectrum" - noticeably different from the dim yellow bulbs of the hotel or the nasty fluorescent beasts at work. It does not hurt my eyes or distract from my laptop or tv screen.
It's been two full days. I'm not kidding; I have had the HappyLight beside me for the last two nights and have noticed a significant difference in my mood.
I am one very happy customer.

I agree with the other reviewers that the lamp is made very cheaply and durability is questionable, but it does have a 3yr. warranty. I was fortunate to buy one when there was a promotion, so basically BOGOF and for that reason kept it at a 5 star rating. If I'd paid $90 a piece, then I would rate it a 3. As for the light, I was amazed at how bright and white it was at the high setting, which I like for my office while working on the computer. I placed the other one on my nightstand and use the lower setting. It's perfect for reading and really seems to give my BR a calming ambience. I haven't used them long enough to determine if it will help w/ the winter blues, but think it might. Also one of its best features is flicker-free illumination without generating EMFs. For those of you that use feng shui, this is very important.Product Review: Bright!

The lamp is nice, but very bright for my wife to use at work in cube world. You're not supposed to use this all day per directions, only for about 1 hour a day and morning is best. So don't plan on using this in place of a desk light.Product Review: Bright/blueish light!

I was lookin for a desk lamp when I ran across this item. It isn't a much of a desk lamp rather than a light for the whole room. It's extremely bright, but at night it doesn't seem like much night when it is on. I put it in the corner of my room and it spreads throughout the whole place. I wouldn't put it anywhere where you are viewing too much as it might just blind you from what you're doing. The plastic cover is not bad as people have rated it. There aren't any other lamps you'd buy that you can bash around either.
If you are going to purchase this product wait on purchasing a replacement bulb. The package comes with a form to order another bulb.
Product Review: Cheaper In Store At Costco

I just bought the TWIN UNIT PACK of this HappyLite Mini Ultra Plus and it was only $34.00 in store at Costco. What's up with the inflated cost on all the websites selling these things? They're just cheap plastic units.
I like the light and use it in my bedroom for reading and watching TV. I've only been using them for 4 days so I'm not sure if they work or not.
