I purchased this on the recommendation of This Old House as I prepared to do some poison ivy removal at our old house. Since then, I've used it twice when the kids and I have come into contact with poison ivy at local parks and both times it worked well. I used it once to clean up after contact and the another time to remove remaining oils after my son had a reaction. In the first case it removed the oils effectively and I had no reaction to the ivy. In the second, it stopped my son's ivy rash from spreading and I think it sped the healing time.
I recommend it.

Eliminate recontamination by washing equipment, pets, clothing, and tools with Tecnu. Also used to remove skunk oil from pets. Use to remove poison plant oils before the rash begins!
