Product Review: Finally found what I was looking for!!!

I would like to start out by saying that I am a first time mom but I am also a mother baby nurse. I thought by having so much experience I will know exactly what my baby needed.The hospital that I work for has a contract with similac and by being used to similac I decided to try it first. We only use formula for supplementing breastmilk.After 1 week my baby became gassy and ucomfortable, I decided to try similac sensitive which was better but my baby was still fussy and gassy. We decided to ask our ped about soy, He was not for soy since our baby is a boy, he said that soy formula has estrogen and research has not been done yet if early introduction to estrogen hormones to little boys will have any side effects in the future. We decided against it and did not want to risk it. He did however recommend good start gentle plus due to the comfort proteins and we decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you how much of a difference the right formula makes. Within a day he slept better, had regular bms and was overall a much happier baby. He still has a little gas but passes it without any pain, which is normal. I know that every baby is different but you do have to keep on trying, and Good Start is worth a try. Just a FYI, my walmart sells the 25.7 oz cans for 19.57. which comes out 120.00 for 6 cans, a lot less than on amazon.Product Review: Good Start = Great Formula

My son, started off in the NICU, so he was introduced to Similac Advanced at the hospital. Since that time, my son was primarily breast fed, but when I had a low supply, I would use Similac Advanced. He would push the nipple of the bottle out as soon as he realized he was drinking Similac. I then tried supplementing with Enfamil Gentlease, which was slightly better, but he would still push the nipple out after a couple of ounces of Enfamil. I tried Gerber Good Start Gentle+ and he drank the first bottle, with little to no objection. I started supplementing with this formula more often. His spit up is limited to following a big burp. I no longer pump and he is a healthy 6 months, 16lbs, and 26". I buy this in bulk at my local Tom Thumb grocery. If you purchase more than one the price is $19.99 instead of $24.99 and they often have $3 off coupons you can use in addition! This is the formula to buy!!Product Review: Good Start Infant Formula

all 3 of my children. One of my girls couldn't keep down other brands, but
we never had that problem with any of the good start products. The 6 pack is
a very good value and I strongly recomend it.

My three year old son was put on this at birth. He did just fine and I never had any problems with him digesting, having gas, constipation, ect...
My daughter, that's another story. She got so constipated on this stuff she would go two days without going potty. And she started screaming terribly when she did go. She ended up being switched over to the GS soy, and then the natural cultures.
All in all, it all depends on the baby. Try it on a small can, and then if it works well, go to WIC and have them pay for formula. You can get any type of Goodstart on wic. You just have to have a reason to get something other than the purple or orange can. That is the cheapest way to get it. And wic doesn't go by income. rich and poor both are welcome to wic.
