Product Review: Agree with "Wish I'd gotten this sooner"!

This won't be lengthy, as there are many detailed reviews already. This has worked incredibly well for me. After 2 weeks I HAVE LOST 7 LBS! I have the Gowear Fit version, with the remote moniter and the online plan. I also have a food scale to make sure I correctly measure portion size. I'm not doing any special exercise program, just get up and move more as needed during day or do simple exercise while I watch TV at night. I am not doing any special diet program, just measuring and recording what I eat and making sure I meet my target calorie deficit. This does mean if I splurge on a treat, I have to cut elsewhere or exercise more. I'm amazed at the behavior modification this has had on my eating, I don't feel deprived at all. My daughter has had the other version of this, the Body Bug, for 3 weeks. She has lost 10 lbs. Yeah, it's pricey, but we decided our health and happiness were worth it after reading reviews and research. They also resell well on eBay, so you can resell it once you reach your weight goal.Product Review: Allergic Reaction to the Metal Plate

I bought the GoWearFit to lose weight and to start training for a 5K walk. When I put on the device I noticed that I had pain in the back of my arm where the device contacts the skin. I did not notice any rash or burning just pain. I thought it would go away as I got used to the device but it did not. So I called GoWearFit. I told them it was not the tightness of the armband (size was fine) but the metal plate piece that caused the pain. They told me to stop wearing the device and check with my doctor. According to the person at GoWearFit that I talked to the metal plate also contains nickel which is not listed in the PDF (just 304 grade stainless steel). I am allergic to nickel and have to wear hypoallergenic earrings so I would not have bought it if it had a warning. Evidently others have experienced allergic reactions as well. So while it is latex free there can still be potential allergic issues. I am within the 30 day warrenty so Amazon is working with me to get my refund. So while it was a cool idea in reality it was a bust for me.

Tracking what you eat and the calories you burn can be fun and great motivation to get more exercise and drop some pounds. I love gadgets, and this is one of my favorites.
My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the software must be installed on a PC even if you just want to just view your charts or enter meals. I would love to be able to add meals from my mobile device.

I went looking for the Bodybugg and found Gowear instead..the selling point for me was the sleep feature..I have had my armband and monitor for a week and can honestly say I am so excited..I have lost 7 pounds!! I get so excited seeing my steps that I take even more than my goal..I love knowing calories out vs. calories in...and I am shocked at how much better I am eating and thrilled with the nutritional pie and charts..I am seeping better and overall I think the creators of this are genious!!!Seriously for anyone who has weight issues this is the magic bullet..wear it for a few days to see what your normal steps are and calories in and out..then set your goals and your off..Truly remarkable..and I have had no technical issues..Product Review: Amzing 5 Stars
It was shipped very fast. This is the same product as the BodyBugg v.3. I bought it for my girlfriend and she wears it everyday. I dont like that I have to pay a fee to view her statistics online every month. I dont like that the armband seems to be very worn after only one month, even though all washing directions have been followed. My girlfriend is a small girl already and the armband somehow stretched ( her arms are like 12 inches around) to where it might have to be replaced.This all being said, its worth having. It tracks how well you sleep, how many steps, how many calorioes etc. Buy it, but get an extra armband when you do, and be ready to pay a fee every month just to use it.
