Product Review: Great Fibrous Bars

These are very tasty "fiber" bars. I have tried all the Gnu bars, and these are my favorite. The cranberrys and orange bits burst with flavor, which really helps to offset the blandish flavor of the rest of the bar (like other fiber bars are).
The price for these on Amazon is higher than the price you can get for these from the manufacturer's website.

I am a huge fan of the Gnu bars. They have the most fiber with the fewest calories of any other bar out there (that I know of), they keep their shape well even when tossed around in a bag for a day or two and most importantly, I can pronounce the ingredients on the label. I'm an "eat clean" gal and these work when I'm traveling or in an all day situation with no breaks. This flavor is ORANGE up front. The flavor intensity of this one is close to eating a fresh orange rind, but that might be your thing (it's not really mine - hence the four stars instead of five). My favorite flavors are the cinnamon raisin and the banana bread (to die for!) If you want to try all of them, I suggest you start at [...] and get the sampler pack first (they offer free shipping on your first order). I fell in love with these Gnu bars after picking one up at the airport on a business trip. I decided to order 3 boxes (over $80 worth) through The Vitamin Shoppe on Amazon. BIG MISTAKE. The Vitamin Shoppe transposed the numbers on the zip code, so when I checked the delivery status with UPS, they said the package was being returned to The Vitamin Shoppe due to their error with the zip code (my zip code was fine on Amazon, it was clearly The Vitamin Shoppe's fault). UPS told me they could not correct it, and to call the Vitamin Shoppe. I did, and let them know about their error. They emailed me and told me that the zip code was corrected. Great, right? No, the next day, they emailed me and said they had canceled my order. I emailed them back and asked why they canceled it, and they responded with one of the nastiest customer service emails I have ever received, telling me it was my fault I gave Amazon the wrong zip (which is incorrect, I have ordered through Amazon for years and double-checked, my zip is correct), that I refused delivery of the package (which again, the package was never delivered due to their error, so there was no way for me to refuse the delivery), and stating that they have refunded my money. So I check my bank account, and they only refunded me for about $50 of the $80 of merchandise I ordered. So... I email them back for the rest of the refund, letting them know about their errors, and telling them I'd like better customer service. I called the main Vitamin Shoppe office in New Jersey and left a message for their VP of Distribution, he never called me back. TURNS OUT you can order directly from GNU FOODS themselves, which I did, and received the package in under a week in a very simple transaction. Unfortunately, the Vitamin Shoppe has a chokehold on a big piece of the health food and supplement market, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND ORDERING THROUGH THEM, they are slightly out of their minds, and I ended up losing money!Product Review: yummy health bar

I have a gnu bar practically every day and they are by far my favorite bar. They only have 140 calories and four grams of fat (unlike a lot of bars that have so many calories and fat that they should only be eaten as a meal and not a snack). Plus, they have 12 grams of fiber! Yes, 12 grams - or half the amount of fiber you need per day. These bars can help if you find you're not eating at least five servings of fruit/veggies a day. Plus, the fiber is good for your health and very filling.
They're great for breakfast or for a snack.
In my opinion, the best flavors are chocolate brownieGnu Foods - Gnu Bar Chocolate Brownie, 16 bar, espresso chipGnu Foods - Gnu Bar Espresso Bars, 16 bar, and orange cranberry. I think anyone would probably find the first two tasty. The orange cranberry is not for everyone. I love it because it reminds me of the orange rind candy my Grandmother used to make. If you don't like kumquats, you probably wouldn't like the orange flavor.
The cinnamon raisin and peanut butter are OK, but kind of boring in taste. The Lemon Ginger has quite a bit of flavor, but is not to my liking.
Note, they are recommended by Weight Watchers and Hungrygirl.
It's much cheaper to buy them on Amazon than to buy them in the store. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because they are fairly expensive.
