Product Reviews of Gillette Venus Embrace Womens Razor, 1 Razor 2 Razor Refill Cartridges KitProduct Review: Gives a Smooth, Comfortable Shave! Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
What a difference 5 blades make! I've tried other brands of razors with 3 blades, and one with 4 blades, and felt satisfied with the results. Then I tried this--BIG difference!
The 5 extra-thin blades really glide over the skin, giving a nice close shave. The head is flexible, which allows it to follow the curves of the leg.
Also, the handle offers a soft slip-proof grip, which prevents those "soapy slips" in the shower.
Good product that performs as promised.
Product Review: Glides ocer Skin for a Close, Smooth Shaver Summary: 5 Stars

My girlfriend was extremely pleased with The Gilette Venus Embrace Razor.
Here is how she felt about this product. :
I like the structure of the Venus Embrace Razor in itself. The flexibility of the razor which bends at every contour of the skin it meets.
It glides effortlessly and hastens shaving time.
I am impressed with the performance of this razor in comparison tothe others I've tried.
I don't worry at all about nicks. The moisturizer in the razor adds to the smooth shaving result. It provides a close, smooth shave.
I am extremely pleased with the pleasant and comfortable shaving experience I've gotten with its use.
Product Review: Good Overall Razor Summary: 4 Stars

I gave this razor to my daughter to try as she is a competitive swimmer and shaves almost daily during the swim season. As such, she has become somewhat of an expert on various razors available on the market. Her impression was that this unit did a very good job and she would like to continue to use it. She found the handle to be easy to grip, the gel area around the head to be comfortable and the wall holding unit to be well designed and useful. She also stated that the shave from this razor was closer than most she has tried.
The only drawback to the razor is the replacement blades, which, when compared against disposable razors, can run into some money. Since I am the sucker that spends the money on new blades, she and I will have to have a talk about just how much extra this unit is worth. If it continues to keep her from looking like she has been in a knife fight, it may be worth the extra money for replacement blades.
Product Review: Good blades, narrow handle Summary: 4 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Since I am a man, I have no experience with this product. However, here is what the wife reported:
"The shave was smooth. It did its job. But the handle feels narrow, like I did not have control over it while shaving. I like the thicker handle of my old razor better. The thingy that sticks to the shower wall is great! It was really handy and never fell off, even in a hot shower. Overall, the shave was fine, but not stellar."
So, to summarize, it sounds like the blades themselves are good and do a good job on the skin (no irritations), but the handle might bother some people. The grip matters the most when moving it against the body, so keep that in mind.
I like the way my wife's legs felt after she used it, so I cannot complain. But since this is not my product, I hope her input will help people decide to use this razor.
Product Review: Good, but .... Summary: 4 Stars

The Venus Embrace is a good razor. I got a smooth shave without nicks and I found the semi-solid handle to be ingenious.
The five blades, on the other hand, seem a bit like overkill. I shaved one leg with the five bladed Venus Embrace and another leg with my three bladed plain old Venus and I honestly did not notice a difference. Both were smooth at the start without nicks, and both grew back at about the same rate. I'm of the opinion that the quality of your shave depends more on the quality of the blade than simply the number of blades.
If you're looking to get this razor just for it's five blades, I can't say it's worth the cost. As a razor, it's great, but it's not better than a three-blade as far as I'm concerned.
However, the semi-solid handle may be worth it. It's comfortable to hold and use and moves with you to some extent. It gets in the tight places better than other razors and helps to keep you from pressing too hard against your skin as you go.
As for me, I'm keeping my Venus Embrace handle and buying whatever cartridges are least expensive when I go shopping. With four kids, I find the Venus Breeze cartridges to suit my short shower needs best. Those and the Embrace handle are a great fit for me.
