Product Review: Packaging changed for the better

I purchased this a few months back and it was a big bulky packaged and I still needed to wash the filter. Now the new packaging is smaller and it comes with a replacement filter as well.
Supposedly this new replacement bulb is to last 1 year. I just replaced mine about 6 months ago. So I'm keeping an eye on this to make sure it was just a fluke that it lasted only 6 months. The replacements are not cheap but the air in the room smells so much better with the Germ Guardian.

Would buy from someone else due to shipping time. A savings of $5 is not worth the 3 week ship time. I don't think that they had it and had to wait on it to ship to them.Product Review: The Germ Guardian would be great if the bulbs lasted more than two weeks.

I purchased two EV9102 air purifiers and they did a great job of removing the odors created by three dogs. But the bulbs burned out in couple of weeks, and the replacement bulbs I've purchased burned out quickly, too. I've replaced the bulbs three times, and have given up.Product Review: mn

I've had the Germ Guardian for about 2 years.The first bulb lasted 6 months.Second bulb lasted nearly a year but in 2010 the bulbs were burning out at 4-6 weeks.Too expensive to keep replacing and difficult to find locally.
