Customer Review: Good product, NOT vegan!!!

I have been using this product, along with Garden of Life Raw Women's Wiser (Over 50) vitamins. They were easy to take despite the 4/5 per day. No indigestion or aftertaste. However, I discovered that they are NOT vegan as advertised in bold print on the label. I find the company deceitful in their attempts at "explaining" their thought process regarding this. I found out after reading a veg post, then realizing that one time the box read vegan, another time vegetarian, along with a note referring the consumer to their website. There, the "logic" goes something like this: vegetarians must eat vegetables or "they will die", vegetables are sometimes fertilized using animal by-products; they purchase
"commercial grade" vitamin D3 (from lanolin/sheep wool)..attach it to their yeast produced D2, therefore it is vegan???!!! Also, they try to attach themselves to the Vegan Society. calling them is like talking to a politician. So much double-talk. I am severely D3 deficient with poor bone density and now am at a loss of what to take. I asked the source of the D3 (humanely sourced vs. slaughterhouse, etc.), but they would not tell me. Jordin Ruben's glossy magazines at every vitamin store show his lovely ranch, I would think he might use his own sheep.
