Product Review: My favorite form of chocolate.
Summary: 5 Stars
I love these. I only eat them as a special treat, because they are very sweet. And I keep a couple in the car and one in my bag, for those emergency moments: Stuck in an airport between a Fast Food Joint and a Fast Food Joint, stuck in a traffic jam, just plain stuck anywhere.
I don't bother eating any other chocolate, unless I'm forced to. I mean a person has to be polite, right? ; ) Seriously, though, if you need a sugar burst, or a chocolate rush, why not get some veggies and vitamins and probiotics along with it. These are also great to stick in your ski jacket pocket for a snack when your cross country loop is too many miles long for your current fitness status, or the arctic conditions on the downhill slope are getting to you. (They are good partially frozen.) Also, for biking, hiking, child-wrangling, and all other strenuous activity that keeps you from pampering yourself with gourmet salads.
And I love the taste of these things. So does my two year old niece. I don't let her eat a whole one though. I'm not THAT generous. -- Joking. -- She's small, and doesn't need that much. Her dose is about half an inch and makes her happy indeed. As we sit in that traffic jam that seems to exist everywhere these days.
Note: I have tried the other Garden of Life Bars, and to me they taste like any other health bar -- too sweet. I do think they are healthier than most other products out there, and some people may prefer them to the chocolate-raspberry. These are just my personal favorite. My second favorite are Lara Bars. My third favorite are home-made by me. But who has the time?
Product Review: Pieces Impossible

Once Garden of Life gets rid of those tiny, so-hard-that-they-cannot-be-chewed pieces of *whatever* which are in these bars (taking up 10% of the bar), then they will have the best bar on the market. Until then, I eat the bar and spit out those pieces of wood or sawdust or whatever they are.Product Review: These are the best!

These do not taste like they look once you bite past that yummy chocolate layer (it's green inside). I promise you'll be thrilled with the taste! My husband was really surprised also. You'd never guess by the taste that it's only sweetened with honey (and evaporated cane juice for the very thin chocolate layer) and that it's PACKED with vegetables and other realy good-for-you raw ingredients! The only downside is how addicting they are!
