I hurt my back shoveling snow. I had a very cumbersome back support that had many straps for adjusting the support. It helped my back while it healed but I wanted something that was not as obvious and bulky under my clothes. This is a very good light weight support. My only problem was finding the right size. I could not find any information on what place on the body the manufacturer was using for it's sizing. I made the assumption that it was the hip measurement and I was wrong. The sizing is based on your measurement half way between the waist and your hip. I guess I should have surmised that from the name of the product "Abdominal Binder" but I didn't. A smaller size would have been better but fortunately I can alter the one I purchased. This is not something I wear constantly. I use it to support my back when doing strenuous activities so hopefully I won't injure my back again.
