I started wearing these after I started playing Ultimate Frisbee more than 4 years ago. I had found I was injuring my ankle every second game. Friends had recommended different ankle stabilizers which I had purchased dutifully at a drug store chain and a sporting goods chain. I think I may have found these in a store, and then found them on-line. I haven't looked back. I weak thru a pair every year or so (or sometimes lose them) but I wear them a lot..at one point I was playing 6-7 high-intensity games of Ultimate a week. I don' want to tempt fate, but I will say that ankle problems have not been prevented me from playing ultimate frisbee in four years.
