Product Reviews of Futuro Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Support

Product Review: Serious Complications
Summary: 1 Stars

I used this product on both feet. And had almost immediate relief but there is a risk involved that is nowhere mentioned.

Because the splint is designed to rest on top of your foot to get results you must wrap it tightly around the ball of the foot. This caused a Morton's Nueroma between my toes.

If you think Plantars is bad - you have another think coming. Now as I work to get over the symptoms of the Nueroma the Plantars is coming back. I'm sure you get the picture.

Use this product with great caution. Although my Dr. will not go on the record of blaming this product I have a high degree of certainty that it caused the problem.

Go see a Dr. - get professionally made orthotics - and use one of the other boots - they're more expensive because they are safer.

You mayend up spending a lot more money eventually anyway - I know I will as I face multiple cortizone shots and possibly surgery.

Product Review: Shoe size 7 or less beware!
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this brace at CVS because it was the only night-splint available for PF and because I already use Futuro braces for my wrists (carpel tunnel) and absolutely love them. Futuro products had always been something I could trust in. Until I bought this brace.

I don't want to rag on Futuro because I have multiple joint issues and I've always been able to trust them with an inexpensive solution, so I was really dissapointed when I bought this foot brace and found that it was practically useless.
The top band kept slipping down my calf and becoming too loose while the bottom strap would slowly slip off of my toes. At first I thought this was a tension issue, but no matter how I tightened the straps, at every which angle, either the brace would slide, my foot wouldn't be braced or, when I finally got it to stay put and hold my foot in the proper position, the straps were so tight they cut off circulation to my toes.

I finally realized the problem was that I did not fall into the "one-size-fits-most" bracket. The brace was too big. I wear between a 6.5 to a 7 (womens) shoe depending on the type of shoe. I asked my roommate, who averages a half size bigger than me, to try the brace and it "mostly" fit, but still had some issues with slipping. I finally gave the brace to my sister, who has PF like me and a shoe size of 8.5, and she likes it alright, except apparently the velcro wears out quickly. (although that might be from my many desperate attempts to get the brace to fit me)

All in all, if you have a shoe size of womans 8 or larger, go ahead and give it a shot. But if you have smaller feet, don't bother. Go with a brace that comes in a smaller size.

I have been suffering with Plantars Fasciitis for over a year now and thought I would have to go back to the doctor until I found this soft sleep support online and tried it. I have been using this every night for a month now and have no pain at all!!

Product Review: This works
Summary: 4 Stars

I had plantar fasciitis years ago, before the use of night splints. This time, I first borrowed my husband's night splint, which is big and cumbersome. It interfered with sleeping because it was much too long and too wide. So I looked for something better, and decided to purchase the Futuro sleep support. I have a woman's 8.5 foot. It takes a bit of doing to get the straps tight enough without being too tight, and for them to go in the right place. I also noted that the angle my foot is kept with this splint is much gentler than the other, by a couple degrees. However, this splint seems to do the job very well, and has the added advantage of being comfortable enough to keep on all night.

Product Review: Threw it in the trash
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this product, tried to wear it but experienced so much pain in my foot after about 30 minutes of wear that I threw it in the trash (the splint not my foot). I am still looking for a night splint that works. This one was effective for some people w/ plantar fascitiis but not for me.
