I bought this for a family member to monitor blood glucose when newly diagnosed with Type II diabetes. I was familiar with a previous version, and this newer version seemed to be even easier to use. My relative quickly got the hang of using it and was pleasantly surprised that it didn't hurt to get a blood sample. At the doctor's office, the doctor was impressed with the log function, because he had actual dates, times and blood glucose levels. It also saved his patient from having to get and pay for one more expensive test.
It has a strong recommendation from me because of the ease my relative was able to transition to checking the blood glucose and removing the fear of painful sticks.
