I have been using this style of flosser since I was in elementary school, and Flossaid's is great. Basically, you take a piece of floss, wrap it a couple times around the circular knob, stretch it up and over the forked part, and then bring it back down around the knob a couple more times while pulling it tight.
I really don't like flossing the usual way (i.e., by wrapping it around both index fingers) because it cuts off blood circulation in my fingers -- not a very nice sensation. This little contraption maintains the tension of the floss without putting pressure on my fingers, thus allowing me to take more time to floss thoroughly and comfortably. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who finds flossing unpleasant, as well as to those who don't mind flossing. It does take an extra 5-10 seconds, but it makes the flossing process very easy and comfortable. Also, it's really cheap and lasts a long time.

I have been using a Flossaid for about four years now and ordered a spare for my kit and a fresh one for my wife. Since I started using it religiously every day four years ago I haven't had a single dental problem. My dentist marvels at how much better my teeth and gums are now. Once you install a long piece of floss it is easy to use and certainly saves the fingers from getting squeezed uncomfortably as in the traditional method. The device does not allow the tape to move, you need to use the same part over and over, and it takes a long time to adjust the tape on the stupid device.Product Review: Much easier than any other, similar, product!!!

I call these "wishbone" flossers. I prefer them because you can load with floss tape which I believe gets the area between your teeth, and below the gumline, much cleaner than regular floss.
Service from this seller was promptly handled and would hope to use them again.

Great device for getting between tight teeth using the floss of your choice, such as Glide.
I hated flossing before because I could never get at my molars without apparently using feet of Glide around my fingers to prevent slippage and placing my ever present thumbs in the way to work it between the teeth. That's in the past now.
