Floradix is the most wonderful iron supplement available. Based on herbs rather than minerals, it doesn't have any of the unfortunate digestive side effects of supplements like iron sulfate. It does not have a repulsive taste, and does a *fantastic* job of replacing iron. Our midwife had my wife on it for most of her pregnancies, and she didn't experience any trouble with anemia. Parents of teenage daughters, take note: those emotional swings and weepiness may be more than just hormones - it may be borderline anemia. Our eldest was turning into an emotional wreck in high school when we started her on this. Within two weeks she was herself again, and commented, "I'd forgotten what it feels like to be happy." Anemia can *definitely* be a factor in emotional turbulence in teenagers, particularly girls, and Floradix is a cheap, harmless fix. Certainly worth at try!
