product works reasonably well, but like others it requires some practice before inserting into ear canal.
Product Review: love these! Summary: 5 Stars
I too have been using these for years and they are the only thing that works for me - I think it is the way they mold to the ear rather than have arigid form. Please don't stop making these - I was distressd that Walgreens stopped carrying them and so glad to find them online.
Product Review: please keep these on the market Summary: 5 Stars
I started using earplugs when living in New York City. They had to work. The drugstore down the street introduced me to some wax-cotton earplugs made in Germany....silence and sleep finally came my way. They were similiar to the wax-cotton that Flents makes. Even though the German made were the best, Flents is a very close second. I do not understand why foam earplugs are so popular all of the sudden, as far as I can tell they do not even work. Yet, I cannot find the wax-cotton, such as these, available at the drugstore anymore...so here I am online.
There is a trick to using them. They must be soft, so keep them in a closed hand while resting for a minute or so. Then they will slip easily into the ear, then you have to seal out the noise by closing the air out by gently pressing the edge.
They work very well.
Silicone earplugs are similiar, but I find them not as pliable and strands of hair gets caught in them easily...and pulls when you try to untangle... (unless you have short hair).
Sorry, don't remember the name of the German-made earplug. But the drugstore was on 2nd Ave between 8th and 7th...East Side! Same owners? --not sure...
