Product Reviews of Fit & Fresh Fruit and Veggie BowlProduct Review: Perfect for a grazer like me... Summary: 5 Stars
I received the Fit & Fresh fruit & veggie bowl as a holiday gift recently and started using it when I returned back to work. I have to say I absolutely love it and it has made my life easier. I am someone who needs to eat 5-6 times a day and this bowl helps me plan healthy snacks.
Pros(9): 4 compartments-three open and 1 separate oval container with a lid for liquid type items/dip. Portion controlled, microwave, fridge & dishwasher safe, all in one design keeps snacks organized, sturdy design. Chiller pack keeps items fresh for 6 hours, chiller pack freezes quickly
Cons (3): Big,I was surprised & was relieved that it just fit in my lunch bag. May not be suitable for those with stiff hands, although the tightness does let up a little with use. May not be suitable for those who want to bring a large entree-I use the separate center container for either yogurt (on days I bring a sandwich) or soup/chili. I don't eat huge lunch portions because I also snack, so others may need a separate container for an entree (or buy the Fit & Fresh lunch on the go container.)
Overall, I credit my new Fit & Fresh fruit/veggie bowl with my better eating habits of late. It makes it very easy to prepare my days' meal & snacks and not overdo it.
Product Review: Poor workmanship Summary: 1 Stars
I've had this for about a month, and I've used it less than 6 times.
Even though I've carefully handwashed it, and merely wiped off the ice ring, the ice ring has sprung a leak (ewww, blue liquid on my celery!!).
The lid is difficult to snap on/remove.
The center container/lid is really too tall for its diameter, which makes using it for dipping rather awkward.
Product Review: The Best Way to Get Kids to Love Veggies Summary: 5 Stars
As a mother, grandmother, and author of a book about helping kids learn to love veggies and other healthy foods, I recommend this product. It is the right size for an assortment of cut up veggies like carrots, broccoli, peppers, and cauliflower. The dip goes in the middle. This is a great way to fill kids up on veggies after school, on a trip in the car, on a picnic, after soccer or other activities, or before supper. It can also be used for fruit with yogurt for dipping. Each child can have one and personalize it. The frozen ring that snaps in the top (takes a little practice to get it out -- then it's easy) is useful for snacking away from home. And I love mine for hiking - it is small enough for a day pack. Product Review: Very pleased-larger than expected. Summary: 5 Stars
I have numerous fit and fresh containers and ordered this piece on a whim. It is larger than I expected and would do well using as a serving dish for fruit and dip. Very well made as all Fit and Fresh containers.
Product Review: Works well for me! Summary: 4 Stars
This item was definitely a good find. It saves me from using several smaller containers. The ice ring is okay - I really have no use for it as I keep the container in a fridge until my lunch time. It could come in handy for summer use - traveling or such. The container is a bit big, though. It won't fit in your standard lunch bag, unfortunately.
