Purchased a new dishwasher and was looking forward to having our glasses and dishes finally not having that white residue when washed. Well, even with the new dishwasher we had the same results as our previous one....residue still!!! After research online, we purchased Finish Magic Glass Magic. We add a 1/4 cup of Finish Glass Magic to the bottom of our dishwasher and were amazed how well it works. Our inside of the dishwasher is stainless steel and not only did the dishes and glasses come out residue free but the tub was completely clean and shiny. I recommend this if you are suffering from residue or hard water stains on glasses and dishes. I also recommend the liquid dishwasher cleaner Finish makes also, especially if you are planning on buying a new dishwasher in the near future and want to keep it top notch!! Only complaint I have is the way it was shipped from Amazon. It is a powder and was able to spill out of packaging and all over the shipping box, spilling out when opened, causing a mess and powder to go everywhere which could be toxic to pets and small children who may be near by. I first ordered Glass Magic product last year. I sprinkle a little in my dishwasher before I turn it on and find I no longer have white spots on my glassware from the chlorinated water I use. Jet Spray alone would not do the job. I also cannot find this product in the stores where I generally shop so I order a supply periodically online.Product Review: Dishwasher helper

Our appliance repairman recommended this. Even with a water softener our glasses were filmy but this took care of it! Even better the price compared to the repairman's 2x as much!
