i have been using this for almost a year now everyday, in the morning before brusing my teeth or drinking or eating anything. my periods were at the start of the year irregular, but then they started to be more regular at the end of the year(taking fertility supplements and stop using products with paraben). but during this time using the scope the correct way, it would fern on some random days then it would fern when i was about to start my period(2days before and during period) so i got some ovulation test strips to supplement the testing (to check on ferning days) and the scope is not accurate, when the strips said i was ovulating the scope would be NOT ferning and vice versa. so i would not recommend this to someone trying to conceive, it is not reliable even though the price is good and the idea is good, it just doesnt work i am very disapointed. i feel like i wasted an entire year trusting in this thing when it never did work. i use now the ovulation test trips that you can find in large quantities on amazon that are very accurate and jot down the results in a little calandar book that i have by the bathroom sink every morning so far i have ovulated 2 times and according to my calendar it is more consistant. so i hope that saves someone alot of grief and wasted time.
