I bought this four years ago after unsuccessfully trying to conceive for 11 months. I have very long cycles and we were having no luck figuring out my fertile days. Within two months of use I was pregnant with my first child. Being able to pinpoint the date exactly made all the difference for us - it was also extremely helpful during my OB visits because I knew precisely when I ovulated and was able to correct the due date the OB gave me, which was two weeks off based on the "date of last MP" method.
This thing does exactly what it says and couldn't be easier to use. That being said, every woman has different hormone levels. When trying to conceive our second child, I was breastfeeding, and rarely got a strong ferning pattern with the microscope. This led me to believe I was not ovulating at all, when in fact I was - proven by the conception of boy #2 after four months of attempts. So, if the device doesn't seem to be working for you, don't despair - but you might talk to your doctor about checking your hormones.
