I was a heavy smoker till a couple of years ago. And when you smoke you don't have a very good sense of smell. After I quit smoking then I noticed how bad my trailer smelled.
Within the first day of setting this out the cigarette smell was gone. I never have been big on using air fresheners. And I really hate those cheap sickening sweet over powering sprays that just try to cover up odors. But this, I like. Its like it pulled the bad odors out of the air and replaced them with something better. It has a pleasant aroma, not very strong and kinda subtle. At its strongest is when my trailer has been closed up all day in the summer and it's 90 degrees when I get home. Even then this air freshener is still, low level, subtle, and easy on the nose.
Its now been about three months and its time to get some more of this. That's one thing I thought I would never do. That is to like an air freshener enough to go buy some more of it.
I no longer have a cat in the house so I can't give it the litter box test but I bet it would even take care of that stench, and that's the source of about the worst smell that can be in a home.
In my opinion this is the best air freshener that there is and I have no problem with recommending it to any one and every one.

This diffuser comes with scented liquid in a glass jar, into which some decorative reeds are placed which allegedly absorb the scent and help diffuse the fragrance. However, the reeds don't even come close to filling up the hole at the top of the jar, and so the scent is going to "diffuse" whether reeds are in there or not. I find the reeds unnecessary, not just because they don't diffuse, but because they will sit out for weeks and collect dust as they get sticky from the scented liquid. The little wooden ring that sits on top of the jar doesn't tighten, it just sits loosely, which is a bit disconcerting. The scent is nice but it's quite overpowering for the first couple of weeks, although I do note that after 3 weeks it has only evaporated by half, so it should last a good 6 weeks.
I got this product through Amazon Vine and was actually quite disappointed in it. I use fragrance in the house a lot, mostly plug-in types or gels that sit on a shelf, and thought a pretty liquid on the shelf would be a nice idea. However, this has been my least favorite of any kind I've tried.
