This stuff works. It does have an odor of its own (another reviewer described it as citrus; to me it smells more spicy). I'm not crazy about it, but it doesn't smell chemically or saccharine, and it smells a lot better than bathroom or cat box! And its scent is very slight compared to the nasty smells it defeats.Product Review: smells like a commercial bathroom deoderizer

I read the reviews and looked forward to a true odor neutralizer. I did not expect the citrus smell. Why can't someone make neutralizing crystals without a cover up smell?
