Product Review: Difficult to find replacement for power supply.

Its application really is only for very small areas. (Bathroom, closet, etc.) In my case it was for a bathroom that has no ventilation. Performance wise, it is only okay. Stopping or retarding the growth of mildew with as low power consumption as possible was my aim.
The biggest grief is replacing the power supply should it fail. Mine failed after nearly a year of almost continuous use. Had no luck trying to find a supplier for this particular power supply. Ended up finding another 9V, 3A power supply and did some wire splicing and soldering. So far it is holding up.
Another thing to note is that these power supplies run extremely warm when the Eva-dry is running. It is best to make sure that the power supply is not buried under anything so as to prevent overheating.

I bought this dehumidifier because my small bathroom lacks enough ventilation to completely remove the moisture in it. I simply wanted a product that would help to dry out the air. Unfortunately, the Petite Dehumidifer fell short of my expectations. Not only was this device unable to remove any moisture from the air it also had me worried that it would burn down my house. The plug became extremely hot and the actual unit emitted an unusual plastic smell. Either I received a defective product or it simply isn't a good dehumidifer. I was very happy for 5 days with the device. Than the collected in it water started to dry. The fan is still working, and the metal condenser is bit cooler than the room temperature, but not enough to condense the vapors. Its quiet and fast, and easy to use. Just plug it in and come back in a couple of days. I use it in my basement to keep the moisture down and I have definately noticed a difference. Great product for the price.Product Review: Does exactly what it's supposed to.

I live in a coastal region that receives high levels of moisture and humidity on a daily basis. To top it off, my house has bathrooms which have no ventilation, so we've often had to deal with mold problems. The answer to my problems arrived in the form of a small box-shaped dehumidifier called "Eva Dry".
This device works tremendously well, pulling moisture out of the air at a reasonable rate. The 16oz reservoir takes about one week to fill up, when I leave it running constantly. I use it in my bathroom mainly, but once in a while my bedroom will feel damp, and it handles the 12'x14' space just as effectively as it does the bathroom. My only complaint is that it's not nearly as quiet as I thought it would be, and the power cord is kind of bulky for bathroom use; I have to tuck it all away someplace, and my only outlets are on the counter, so that's a bit aggravating. The product loses one star for that.
I recommend this to anyone who has ventilation problems and needs to be rid of excess moisture in small to medium sized spaces.
