Product Reviews of Eva-Dry Edv-2200 Mid-Size Dehumidifier

Product Review: Great till it stops working
Summary: 2 Stars

We purchased this item on October 26th, 2009 - received it the first week of November. We chose it to help deal with the condensation in our 30' travel trailer which we are using as our full-time home. Though it did not draw out much water it did draw some and it made a dent in the problem. However, after just four months of use (not continuous) it has quit. We are terribly disappointed as to our knowledge there is nothing out there like it. Given our space restrictions we need a small unit. Bummer Eva-Dry! You have let us down!!

Product Review: Great!
Summary: 4 Stars

I have had this dehumidifier for about a month and it has been great. I have had it running almost constantly in a bathroom that is not sealed well from the outside. I always had problems with my towels not drying and now they dry much better with the dehumidifier running. It has taken a lot of moisture out of the air even though we have had low humidity lately. I would recommend this product for anyone with a small to medium space that needs dehumidifying.

Product Review: Gteat Unit
Summary: 4 Stars

This Eva-Dry 2200 works very well, we have it in our master bedroom that has an attached bathroom & master closet. We are using it to remove moisture in this area of our home, we have a good fan in the bathroom but we started seeing mold on some of our cloths in the closet. This little unit removes a lot of moisture in this area and I empty it about every 2-3 days. We're very happy with this purchase.

Product Review: It works OK
Summary: 4 Stars

Not dazzlingly effective, but not advertised as such.

Helps with the bedroom/bath of a small apartment.

Hint-if it stops working, switch it off for 30 minutes. It runs just fine again, after that.

Quiet.

Product Review: It works but power supply a problem
Summary: 3 Stars

As of March 2010 it appears that the power supply is still a problem. I've had my unit for about a week now. When I first plugged it in, it ran for 7 hours and then stopped for no apparent reason. The light "ON" was still on, but no fan. The power supply was very warm. (The unit runs on about 76 watts DC, so the AC wall current must be converted to DC.) I shut the unit off and unplugged it for an hour. I also slightly propped up the power supply so it was not sitting directly on the floor. Once the power supply cooled down, it turned back on and started working. During the last 7 days I've run it intermittently from 10 to 22 hours at a time. So far it has not stopped working. And it appears to be taking moisture out of the air. It took about 100 hours of operation to fill the 2 liters holding tank. If you have a small space and don't have a huge humidity problem, this may be all you need.
