I put this in my 10 x 20 bathroom that is seperated from my bedroom by a ventless gas fireplace. The moisture in the winter was enough that the humidity level was ranging around 70% which meant towels didn't dry and everything got musty and moldy even though we do have an exhaust fan in there. This little guy did the trick. It takes out about 2 cups of water a week and that keeps the humidity at about 50% to 65% (after we take a shower) and no more mold or damp towels. I know some complained of a hot power converter but mine has been running 24/7 for months now and mine has never been anything but barely warm. It could be considered noisy I guess but I like the white noise that it gives off and it doesn't have appeared to hurt my electric bill at all like my big dehumidifiers do.
