I have cervical stenosis and my physical therapist recommended an ice pack to provide pain relief for my neck. I found that trasditional ice packs were difficult to use and impossible to move around while using. After purchasing other neck wraps, I purchase this Elasto gel 6 years ago and it was the best thing I have ever bought. It has held up wonderfully. I wear it alot, especially in the winter. It is very comfortable and well made, easy to clean. The heat lasts for a long time so it is not 'a pain in the neck' always getting up to reheat. It instantly goes to the pain and soothes the soreness I get from surgery to the head/neck/shoulder area. I wear it for support also when I fly (kindly put it on the xray conveyor though or you have to be scanned and swiped for drugs it draws alot of attention from security) or long car trips. When I am at the computer for hours on end it helps with stiffness. It does help me with migranes and sinus headaches if I lay down and put it on those areas also. All other wraps for the neck felt like I was being strangled but this is very adjustable and sometimes if I am just sitting still I won't even have to put the strap on I just let it hang on my neck and shoulders.Product Review: Best thing I ever tried.

I have degenerative disk disease in my neck and have pain everyday. This is so great, it relaxes the muscles and reduces the pain. The shape covers the back of my neck and around to the front. I have order thousands of items from Amazon, and I believe this is one of the very few times I have had to write a negative review. This product was not worth the money I paid for it, and didn't not work very well at all. I tried to return the product, but I was told since I froze the item I was no longer able to return the product. I asked the vendor how would I know if the product worked it I didn't freeze it?
I would not recommend ordering this product. There are far better products for less money.

This item advertises to be exactly what cervical neck pain sufferers need but it does not live up to its description.
The concept is excellent but the fit is awkward, complicated and does not hold the cold or really get that cold. The add says 20F but I seriously doubt it. Other reviews mention it not staying warm either. We thought the cold might be more lasting but it wasn't. Try something else.
