Product Reviews of Ecuadorian Truly Raw Cacao Butter, 16oz - Pacari ChocolateProduct Review: Smooth & Silky Summary: 5 Stars
It is so easy to make Raw chocolate candy with this raw cacao butter. It melts so easily. Just shave it with a cheese grater, then place it in a bowl and put it in your food dehydrator. Or, if you dont have one, turn on your oven (don't put the cacao butter inside the oven-defeats the purpose of it being raw), but place the shaved cacao on top of the stove. The heat from the stove will do the trick. The butter will remain raw as long as you don't let its temperature rise above 118 degrees. You could even put the cacao in a glass bowl then place the bowl in very hot (not boiling) water. It melts quickly, just stir often. An added bonus...it smells sooo good. I tasted it plain too...no flavor, just smooth as silk.
Product Review: a little distrust Summary: 2 Stars
When I pulled the product out of the package, I looked on the bottom and noticed that the expiration date was blacked out by very dark black marker and then a new one put on with a sticker next to it. That makes me very distrustful and I wonder what was blacked out. Hopefully the product is okay, but I am going to look for a different source for cacao butter in the future.
Product Review: makes delicious dark chocolate candy Summary: 5 Stars
I make my own dark chocolate candy. I combine cacao butter (1#) with 5 TBSP of organic raw chocolate powder and 4 tsp of stevia in a glass double boiler. When all is liquified, I pour the mixture into chocolate candy molds (1 TBSP per mold). I then place in the freezer for 1 hour. When the candies are hard, I remove from the mold, put in a covered bowl and store in the frig. Each candy is about 100 calories with zero net carbs! Yummmmmmy!
Product Review: poor shipping Summary: 3 Stars
The product was o.k., but it was shipped in a mailing envelope as opposed to a box. Needless to say, when it arrived it was broken into several pieces and didn't look like the picture of the product. We used it anyway, but disappointing to look at.
