Product Review: OK, but gets used up too fast!!

I tried this after being disappointed by 7th generation dish soap and the ecover is a step up in my opinion. however, it doesn't suds very much and doesn't seem to clean that well with just a little. Forget about it when my husband is doing dishes -- he goes through a ton of this. It's hard to find locally and the s/h is expensive if I buy online. I ended up trying Trader Joe's and liking that. Palmolive and Clorox also now have "eco" dish soap that is free of petroleum based products and the Clorox one is okay. Haven't tried Palmolive. they are available at grocery stores and big chain stores.
We use ecover laundry soap, fabric softener, dishwasher powder tablets, as well as floor soap, 7th generation all purpose cleanser spray, method hand soap, so it's not that I am anti-ecover or not used to environmentally friendly products.

I hand wash all my dishes and this soap keeps my sensitive hands from chapping, cracking and bleeding...even in the winter. I prefer the lemon scent, rather than the chamomile, with it's softly pleasant fragrance...it doesn't burn my nose or give me a headache like all the major brands do, and after all, what's smell really got to do with cleaning dishes anyway? The convenience of using auto-ship, plus the savings of about a dollar per bottle over store prices makes this a wise choice for me.Product Review: Top rated CReport review was correct

While the price is great (especially since many "green" products are priced higher), this is not worth it. Not sure why I seem to be one of the only reviewers not to like it, but it seriously does not clean! And I'm not even talking about tough grease. This product doesn't clean period. It suds up and looks and smells great. I believe its great for the environment as well; that's why I bought it. However, I will never buy it again. I do not want to have to use so much soap and still have to re-wash my dishes.Product Review: just love ecover

a little harder to find in stores and on the internet; but I am so happy with ecover products. Just less 'sanity-like' smells, which seveth generation still makes me wonder how green are their products. This product cleans grease and crust well without having to apply excessive amounts. Like many of ecover products the scent is never overpowering. And also you never have to use a lot, which means it last a long time. thanks ecover.
