The scale is attractive and has a large well-lit blue readout. You have to tap it with your foot firmly to make it come on. It appears to read about 2 pounds off (on the too low side). For the money, it's a very nice scale.Product Review: A good Scale for your money

Its a very convenient scale especially with the 'step-on' technology. I just have one complaint with this. Once you check your weight, it shows the same numbers for the next few minutes even if you add extra weight to yourself by holding something heavy. But apart from this, I like it and had no problems with it so far. Its a good product for a good price.Product Review: A good choice!

Our old scale, a mechanical type, needed to be replaced. I went to Amazon, typed in "digital bathroom scale", and up came the EatSmart Digital Bathroom scale, with an average of 4 1/2 stars from nearly 800 customers. Nothing else was even close to it in customer approval. I ordered one for Christmas for just under $30. It has clean lines, and seems substantially made, which is especially important because its 4 "feet" are pressure sensitive instruments, which means if you are picking it up (because its home is not out in the open) and setting it down for use on a regular basis, you need to be both careful and hopeful that the scale is well made. The readout is as clear as other buyers say, measuring in 2/10's of a pound increments (I believe), which is a nice addition to the straight one pound, two pound design. My wife and I have now used the scale a number of times, and because we have had access to other, highly reliable scales, we know it is weighing true. As another buyer has said, tapping the scale with the front of a bare foot does not always turn it on the first time. I don't know why that is, but it is a minor flaw . . . so far. I am only giving this product 4 stars because it has yet to stand the test of time. Will it continue to weigh true in 6 months, 2 years, 6 years, more? The company gives its scale a generous 2 year warranty. Other customers indicate the company has treated them with great conscientiousness when there have been problems. It would be wonderful to find this is a well made product that will continue to do what it was made to do for an inordinately long time.Product Review: A good gift.
