This product is solid and does what it does, very well. It's proof that you don't ever need to spend more than $30 to buy a quality, digital scale.
This company is family-run and their customer support is phenomenal. I thought my product was defective because it wouldn't automatically turn on by simply standing on it (didn't know you were supposed to tap it first), so I emailed them and they got back to me within hours. They explained how to operate it (my mistake for not reading the instructions carefully) and it worked. They even offered to replace it if it were defective, which it wasn't.
Overall, a great experience. I definitely recommend this product and these guys.

Shortly after I purchased this scale, Amazon forwarded a request from the manufacturer to review the scale on Amazon for some free something or other. I chose not to participate as I've had early deaths on several different electronic scales and wanted to make sure this scale would live before I gave it a rating. According to Amazon, I bought this scale mid-June 2009 and here it's end of February 2010 and all I can say is this scale has exceeded my expectations. I wanted something accurate that would take normal batteries. If it wasn't accurate I couldn't use it to track my weight loss and I didn't want to go looking for some type of lithium mail-order battery when the batteries failed and from the reviews it looked like this scale would do the trick. When I first got the scale I was concerned that it didn't turn on reliably with a tap, but I quickly learned to lift it with my toe and let it back down and have had reliable turn on ever since. I make this scale something I answer to every morning and every morning it accurately weighs me--meaning that I can get on and off the scale several times and I weigh exactly the same each time. I record my weight in a diary and I'm happy to report that being answerable to the scale has led me to lose 70 pounds. I'm also happy to report that I'm on my same set of batteries. I recently purchased two of these scales and have been nothing but satisfied!! It is attractive and accurate and "fun to show off to others"! My parents move theirs each morning and they were seeing a 4.4 on the screen. We did not realize that the scale calibrates itself each time it is moved and that 4.4 is the weight of the glass! They now keep their scale is one spot and the weight amount is right on the money! My husband and I have never weighed ourselves so much! This is too much fun! Before I purchased the scales I read where someone thought it was made with inferior materials(???) They couldn't have been speaking about this scale! It has a classy look and solid build. The oversize platform is great for my husband's size 12 feet, comfortable all the way around. With the Extra large 3x5 Backlit Display, you can weigh in the dark if you want to, clear as a bell to view the numbers. Someone also mentioned the difficult removal of the instructions set on the front.....When mine arrived, I sat down and carefully, slowly pulled the sticker off and NOT one piece of adhesive or sticker stayed attached!
