I purchased this soap locally for 12.00 for one bottle, so the price on Amazon is several dollars cheaper per bottle! I make my own soap for the warm/hot water loads, and I use this for loads using cold water. It cleans just as well as the store brand I was using (Purex) and is easier on the environment and our clothes. It does not leave a residue, although I do have softened water. When I take the clothes out of the dryer (no need for softeners, as there are soy softeners in the product), my clothes just smell clean. Nothing artificial. The soap doesn't bubble and the water doesn't get slippery, but I know it's still working because my clothes come out clean.Product Review: Works great and Smells good!

I've been using this stuff for months and haven't noticed a difference between the name brand detergents. I use to use Gain and sometimes Tide untill I switched to ECOS. My clothes get just as clean as before, not that I'm getting my clothes really really dirty all the time but even when I do yard work and get mud all over, it works great. I would tell anyone to use this stuff, and the price it great too for a eco friendly product.Product Review: clothes don't smell clean

I've been using ECOS lavender laundry detergent for several months and my clothes do not smell clean. They actually have a strange smell like they weren't even washed. I have to use a whole cap full instead of the recommended half in order to get my clothes smelling neutral. I have a great HE washer and shouldn't have to use so much detergent per load.
