Product Review: My New Favorite Laundry Detergent.

I had used this once before and couldn't find it locally. I forgot how much I liked it. I am so excited that I found it and for less on Amazon. I am very pleased with the Ecos in terms of its cleaning capacity and ecological impact.
If I have an extra dirty load I just use a full cap. The soy softening agents don't leave scum in your washer and the gentle lavender scent is just right.
If you are comparing this to traditional detergent --don't. This product cleans and smells great naturally. I find that sometimes people think the artificial smels of traditional cleaning products mean clean and it doesn't.
I will continue to purchase this product. I have not tried the Lily because I love the lavender.

My favorite thing about this product is that it has a very nice, light lavender smell that's very natural. It doesn't clean quite as well as the mainstream, more toxic stuff, so I've found that you have to soak your dirtiest clothes for about 10 minutes before turning on the wash cycle. I would also recommend pouring the detergent directly on even simple stains and leaving it for about 10 minutes before washing.Product Review: Remember to use less and read label directions

I have been using 7th Generation laundry detergent for years and really like their latest HE version as it cleans well on soiled clothes whereas I only used their old formula on non-soiled "dirty" items like towels and linens. Sam's currently has this 210 ounce bottle for under 13, so I decided to try it. I'm used to using a full 7th's gen. top as my measuring cup, so without reading the bottle label I did the same for Ecos which is about 5-6 times what was required to use for my LG front load washer. My clothes came out clean, but in my efforts to be green I did poorly since I didn't read the directions until I came upon this web page. I also added 7th Gen.'s fabric softener which wasn't necessary either. So read the directions, don't add a fabric softener and be greener than I.Product Review: Smells great, works great

I've bought about 9,000 things on Amazon, and this is my first review. When I went back to school, a lot changed about my clothes-washing regimen: new white undershirts, new washer-dryer, and new detergent. Unfortunately, after a few washes (color separated, hot water), I noticed my new undershirts were getting light colored stains that weren't coming out with subsequent washes or even bleach.
I found that my fabric softener cup was full of gunk from the previous tenant. I gave it a thorough cleaning (AKA threw it away), and bought all new undershirts. But they got stained too!
I bought some Tide with Bleach Alternative, and I no longer have the problem. I'm embarrassed to say that it took so long for me to find the culprit.
I don't think it is an earth friendly product if it makes whites one-time use only.
