Product Reviews of Earth's Best TenderCare Chlorine Free Baby Wipes Refills, 72-Count Packages (Pack of 12)(960 Wipes)Product Review: Great wipe, good quality, and chlorine free! Summary: 5 Stars
It's nice that there are more choice now when looking for a safe chlorine free wipe for our babies' bottoms, hands and face. My kids have sensitive skin so I try to buy as natural of products for them as possible. I have trusted Earth's Best food products for years so naturally I was happy to see them come out with a diaper and wipes line too. I haven't had an issue with these getting mildew-y like I did with the Seventh Generation refill packs but maybe it is because I go thru these ones faster. Like other brands, these are very moist which does mean that I either have to let the baby's bottom air dry for a few extra minutes before putting on a new diaper or when in a hurry have to dry off with a cloth diaper. But it's hard to complain that a wipe is too moist since it so much better than a wipe that is too dry or not moist enough. So far I've been pretty pleased with thie product and will keep using them.
Product Review: Great wipes with excellent clean-up capabilities Summary: 4 Stars
I first purchased Seventh Generation wipes by the case from Amazon, and wish I had been using these from the get-go. I wanted to purchase wipes that are chlorine-free and from a company with ethical environmental practices, but had problems with the 7th G wipes (too thin, dried out too quickly). I switched to these after my son started solids and the other wipes were simply not getting it done. These wipes are great. I don't find them too soapy, they do a much better job on clean-up and are much thicker than the other wipes. I use 2 wipes per change (sometimes 3) instead of needing 5 or 6 to get things cleaned. Strong work, Earth's Best! The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is the packaging - I found the wrap on the refill package rips very easily. I prefer the refill package to the plastic box as space is an issue for us. Not a huge deal, but a more durable package would make this a 5 star purchase.
Product Review: Great wipes, good value by the case! Summary: 4 Stars
Great wipes. My baby has never shown any signs of diaper rash when i use these, whether my diapers are chlorine free, or not. They can be a bit sudsy, but this has never seemed to bother my little one. Occasionally, (one per case) I open a pack and there seems to be quite a few wipes that are glued together at one point. That can be kind of a pain with a squirrely baby on the changing table, but a quick pull usually separates them with no problem. Overall, this is the brand i return to and i would gladly recommend it to a friend. Only improvement would be to make the wipes and pouch biodegradable.
Product Review: Great, Safe wipes Summary: 5 Stars
These wipes are big, strong and clean well. What else can you ask for from a wipe? My wife used to complain that they were a little too "soapy" but she has gotten used to that.
These are rated lower on EWG's website then any of the mainstream wipes so the slightly higher price is well worth it.
Product Review: I was proven wrong... Summary: 4 Stars
I tried these because no matter how often we change my 1.5 year old, he always always gets a rash on his bottom. We could catch him immediately after he goes, and still... there's a rash. I read the reviews for this brand and was excited to order and get them. Before these we used the Huggies No Fragrance Hypoallergenic for Sensitive Skin.
Earth's Best wipes are very moist and soft - this is what I love about them. I take them out of their packaging and refill the Huggies tub. These wipes do not come out of the tub easily. They stick together and some are not even connected to each other, so the next one doesn't even come out. Ninety percent of the time, I have to go hunting for them in the tub. This is extremely annoying especially when you need one quickly. Also they dry out a lot faster than the Huggies. The price is definitely a killer for me, but I could overlook it if they didn't stick and if they came out of the container properly. I don't think I will be buying again.
U P D A T E - March 6, 2010: I was not a fan of these when I first used them. After I finished them I purchased my usual, Huggies Hypoallergenic Fragrance Free wipes. My son got such a bad rash, it took weeks to go away. I am returning to the Earth's Best brand. I do like them better now than my previous brand. My star rating has improved by one star, to a four (I still don't like that they don't pull out properly).
