Product Reviews of Ear Wiz Personal Ear Wax Removal Tool

Product Review: EAR WAX REMOVER
Summary: 2 Stars

THE EAR WAX REMOVER DID MANAGE TO REMOVE SOME EXCESS WAX FROM MY EAR CANAL
BUT IT DID NOT DO AS GREAT A JOB AS A REQULAR Q-TIP.

Product Review: Husband didn't like it
Summary: 1 Stars

He said it didn't work the stopper is in the wrong place.

Product Review: Scoop wax out, don't shove it in
Summary: 4 Stars

If you have wax build up don't use a Q-tip that as a Dr. once told me packs the wax next to the ear drum. This handy tool scoops the wax out. It is a bit flimsy I don't think it is going to last a lifetime. But I love it none the less.

Product Review: Too Big
Summary: 2 Stars

The loop end is too big and it is difficult to clean; thick soft plastic. The Ototek Loop is smaller, works better and cleans much easier; thin, hard plastic. The Ototek Loop can be found at Walgreens & CVS pharmacies.

Product Review: perfect ear wax remover (and itch-scratcher)
Summary: 5 Stars

I've worn hearing aids for 20 years and wax buildup has been a problem that whole time. Cotton swabs feel good but inevitably push the wax further back and must eventually be removed.

This handy little gadget does the job nicely. The ear stop keeps the tip from going in too far (believe me, I've pushed). The little scoop on a somewhat flexible tip easily removes the wax without pushing it further in. It's also a great ear-scratcher for those annoying itches. I love it.

I keep three handy in different locations - my easy chair at home, my bedroom, and at work.

For cleaning, I cut a pipe cleaner into thirds which makes it easy to remove the wax from the scoop.

The one thing I don't care for is that the scoop eventually gets wobbly and becomes unusable. It doesn't fall off in the ear - it just becomes useless. But that's after months and months of continuous use. I figure it's that way either for hygiene sake or for built-in obsolescence. The Wiz is so good otherwise, that I still give it 5 stars.
