Product Reviews of EL1012A Ergorapido Hand VacuumProduct Review: Not what I hoped :( Summary: 1 Stars
I have been looking for a cordless vacuum that I can use to vacuum my kitchen tile, hardwood & area rugs throughout the day when I need to (without having to lug the big vacuum out). I've bought the Shark sweeper, which I hated. I bought the Swivel Sweeper, which was a little better than the Shark but that broke so I wanted to get something new & better. I thought this was it, but it hardly picks up anything at all. You have to go over things at least 5 times before it's completely picked up and it's still not completely clean. If I'm going to pay over $100 for a cordless vacuum, it should clean up better than this. I don't recommend it at all!! Look elsewhere, trust me!! You won't like it!! Get the Swiffer Sweep & Vac - vacs up tile & hardwood much better & costs only about $30.
Product Review: Not worth a flip Summary: 1 Stars
I don't see how this ever got such great reviews. This was a very poor choice. Wish I had never wasted my money. The battery started not holding power after a month or two and now starts running down within seconds of starting to vacuum. The worst thing of all is that the battery is neither removable nor replaceable so you just have to throw the whole vacuum into the trash when the battery stops holding a charge. The brush, being driven by air circulation, easily gets clogged and stops rotating. When it does, it won't pick up anything. Then it started not rotating without anything stuck in it. Had to open up the driving compartment, take the brush out and replace it back. It would then work but next time I used it - the brush was stopped again. This is all after just a few months of use. On the plus side, when I first got it, it cleaned reasonably well and was very easy to use, get into tight spots, etc. Other than the battery, the design is great - there is an outer and inner filter, the inner one for catching dust. It empties easily although you have to do it outside to avoid breathing the dust and debris from emptying it. Regardless, after 3 or 4 months of use, I'm throwing it in the trash and getting a Shark.
Product Review: Outstanding Summary: 5 Stars
Just bought a house, my wife has a cat... so I buy a vacuum. I'm a dude and would rather spend my time in the garage, but this thing makes me want to vacuum all day. It looks cool, it works great on our hardwood and tile.... I had no idea our floors were so nasty until I see what this thing picks up.
Product Review: Perfect cleaning companion!! Summary: 5 Stars
I'll keep it short and simple. The Electrolux Stick Hand is awesome. End of story.
Product Review: Perfect for wood floors and a few rugs Summary: 5 Stars
I've been searching high and low for something that I could use throughout my house. I have wood floors through the whole house and a handful of rugs. I have a swiffer-vac that I've been using for the wood floors, but that wouldn't do for the rugs. I didn't want to buy a huge, regular vacuum to lug around for a just a couple of rugs, so I did some research and came upon this product. I am extremely happy with it. We have three cats, two of which are pretty long-haired, so it is a constant struggle to keep miniature tumbleweeds from blowing across the living room. So far I am very pleased with the way it works on the rugs and the floor--it is perfect for bathroom mats/rugs and even our larger oriental dining room rug looks great after a once over with this guy. Great in the kitchen too, as it picks up crumbs, food scraps, cat food, etc. The fact that it is so lightweight and portable makes it easy and convenient to use---doesn't feel like a chore. Also, I really appreciate the design. The dust compartment empties easily so that you are not creating a dust cloud trying to get it clean. Also, the dustbuster portion comes off easily, and I've used it with the carpet brush on a few chairs (cat hair) and it works magnificently. If you have a smaller square footed house with little carpeting and a few pets, you will fall in love with this stick-vac.
By the way, I initially bought the Shark version and it was very poorly made. Also, the carpet roller brush on the bottom does not come out on the Shark, whereas it does on the Electrolux. The ergorapido is of much better quality and has a much more well thought out design.
Love it!!!
