Product Reviews of EL1012A Ergorapido Hand VacuumProduct Review: Loved it, but fell apart! Summary: 3 Stars
I loved this vacuum. It was powerful enough to pick up just about anything and the convenience of the hand vacuum AND cordless! It even got my kids excited to clean up after dinner. However, after I've had it for a year (and after the warranty has run out), a small plastic piece that holds in the roller fell off and disappeared. It can be replaced, but I have to take it to a vacuum repair shop that services Electrolux. The price of the part and service is about half the cost of a whole new vacuum. So, I am opting to try a less expensive model of another brand.
Product Review: Lovely Back-up Vacuum Summary: 5 Stars
I've had this "stick vac" a couple months & I LOVE it! Talk about convenient! It can be used daily (or several x/day) for quick clean-ups. I have 2 rat terriers that are in/out the dog door all day. This little vac has plenty of long-lasting power to pick up dirt they bring in & to get their fur off the furniture (no pun intended).
I LOVE that it is lightweight. It stands upright in its charger, ready to grab w/o bending over whenever you need it. The charger serves as a night light with a 1/4" x 2" long, blue light on either side of the charger when the vacuum is in it.
You can remove the "dust buster" from the "stick" & use it as a hand vac. I use mine to vacuum the car & truck.
AND it has 2 attachments; a fine bristled brush (soft enough to dust fabric lampshades, wood tables, & electronics), and a tapered end tool to reach into tight spots.
I like that it doesn't use bags. You press the sides to open it, remove the lid which includes a washable fabric filter, & dump what you've vacuumed up into the trash. You do have to get your fingers dirty to loosen hair & dust from the filter, but its not a big deal. It's easy to wash the filter every couple weeks & it dries outside in 10-15 minutes.
I use a regular vacuum weekly and it amazes me how much dog hair & fine dirt the ErgoRapido picks up on a daily basis.
I'm going to replace my hand held Dirt Devil in our motorhome with the stick vac. No electric cord to plug/unplug, I can use it on more surfaces, & I'll never run out of bags.
Product Review: Most useful houshold item I have ever had Summary: 5 Stars
I have had my Electrolux Ergorapido Cordless vac for two weeks now and have used it every day. It is great on low pile rugs, to clean around my woodstove and take care of small accidents immediately. The stick is light and easy to use and the hand vac is great for my car and window tracks. My friend has the Pronto 9 volt and is very sorry she didnt hold out for the 12 volt, it is worth every extra penny.
Product Review: Nice little pickup vacuum Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the Ergorapido just looking for a quick vacuum I could bring out when my parrot made a mess. This met my needs exactly. It won't replace your regular vacuum but its cordless ability, lightweight, long charge life and the capability to break out the base into a handheld vacuum makes this a great "sweeper" vac.
Product Review: Not for use as a vacuum Summary: 1 Stars
I've read some of the reviews and found that people who are rating this thing highly are the ones who are sweeeping up their floors and then vacuuming up the sweepings. This is not what a vacuum is for. If you can't use it as a vacuum, then it isn't a vacuum.
This vacuum will have a dead battery within 3 months
This vacuum has terrible suction power
This vacuum has a tiny dustcup which must be emptied before use and several times during use to maintain the already poor suction.
This vacuum has cheap plastic parts which frequently break, (ex. the small rollers on the bottom which make it possbile to roll the vacuum around)
After owning this product for a month and suffering the headaches, I hope this review can save you time and money and especially the headaches.
