Product Review: Don't let the price detour you. This vacuum's great!

I bought this vacuum in the mocha color 4 months ago and am still amazed at how well it performs on hard surface flooring. It's incredibly smooth and easy to manuever around objects and the suction is fantastic. Don't let the price push you to a lesser model. You get what you pay for and this thing is high quality. It's solidly built, so much so that at first I thought it would be too heavy. But it just glides across my wood and tile floors with ease and has enough power to suck lighter debris from cracks and edges that aren't directly under the power head. As with any vacuum I've tried on hard surfaces, some of the heavier items will occasionally zing out from under the vac when contacting the power brush. I haven't found a hard surface vacuum yet that catches everything everytime, but so far this one is hands down the best I've tried. The hand vac can be removed easily from the stick to get the real heavy items or hard to reach places. If your looking for a vacuum for carpet, this will do an adequate job, but it's hard to push, will wear you out, and with all the suction fills up the dirt bin fast. I use it on a few low profile rugs and it's great at removing the pet hair, but I only use it on the carpet if I'm in a hurry or just feel like some exercise. Overall it's a nice looking, high quality hard surface vacuum that I would buy again tomorrow if something happened to it.Product Review: Excellent Stic Vac

I absolutely love this vac. I have owned other various stic vacs and they never seemed to last. They would loose the intensity of suction power even with frequent,thorough cleaning of the units. We have three Australian Shepherds (lots of long hair) and a baby. This vac has no problem suctioning all the dog hair along w/crumbs and other debris. It's also quiet enough to use while our baby naps withouout waking her. LOVE that! I got extremely tired of hauling out our Kirby vac. Does a great job, but way too cumbersome for everyday cleaning which we need to do in our home. This vac has great suction power for a stic vac. Easy to use, glides effortlessly. Doesn't scratch our wood laminate flooring either. HIGHLY recommend!!!Product Review: Extremely well designed cordless vac!

Owned it a few weeks and love it. I use it all the time after dinner to clean up after my 3 year old. I am ok with the battery lifespan and know that there are limitations to batteries. Love it. Recommended it to a friend even. And with a steam mop, I am looking forward to dust bunny free floors!Product Review: Good for daily quick cleaning

The good:
* Very convienent
* Works on carpet and hard surfaces. It picks up the dirt, which is what counts.
* Not too loud
* Design seems good so far. It has a solid feel, not too heavy, and a well designed charger stand.
* Hair and fuzz doesn't stick to filter
* The quick cleaning port is handy if you have another vacuum
The bad:
* Long hairs wrap around the brush and are hard to remove
* It takes 20 hours to fully recharge, meaning you can only use it 15 minutes a day, less once the battery has worn some.
* It doesn't always make electrical contact when put in the charger and needs to be wiggled a bit
* The blue lights that show when it is charging are very bright, too bright. A simple red light, ideally on the handle instead of the base, would be better.
Other notes:
* It isn't intended to replace your normal vacuum, so don't expect it to. I bought it for quick cleaning of high traffic areas and so far I'm happy with it.
* The filter has three sections: dust cup, an outer pre-filter, and the filter. It is probably a good design as it keeps the fuzz from sticking to the filter, probably makes the filter last longer, and it is easy to dump the coarse dirt. But a full filter cleaning means dealing with more parts.
