I have a few different posture reinforcers, and this is by far my favorite. It doesn't ride up on my shoulders (becoming visible), it doesn't restrict my movement or breathing, and I have no soreness under my arms when I take it off. I have a desk job, and can expect to sit in front of my computer anywhere between 8 and 12 hours. .. it's very easy to allow myself to slump, but this helps with it. I always wear an over-shirt over an undershirt (being military and always being in uniform), and even over the thinner undershirts, there is no rubbing or chaffing. (I would not suggest wearing this without an undershirt- there is velco that would rub comfortably, I think.)
No, it doesn't actually force your shoulders back, but it gently restricts the shoulders just enough that it reminds you to hold them where they ought to be. I try to wear this corrector at least a few times a week, if not every day. Since wearing this, I think I do have an easier time keeping my posture 'nice', because it feels more familiar, and I can catch myself relaxing into something less than ideal. (Growing up it was my parents, and now my husband was always trying to push my shoulders back. ... it was terminal.)
I would recommend this for anyone that is ready to stop slumping, gets dull back aches, and wears a few layers of shirts.

I had upper back/neck pain after having a baby and bending over/slouching a lot to feed/hold my son as well as work at a computer all day. This helped almost immediately. It does dig a little under your arms after awhile but it either just reinforces your posture or you can wear over a t-shirt. (It doesn't hurt--it's just annoying.) I haven't tried any other product like this so can't compare, but for this one the price is reasonable, it's discreet and it works.
