I really like this "reach-it" stick. It is the fifth one in my house...each room has one. My oldest reacher is about 20+ years and was passed down from my Mom when she died. I have tried all the other styles, and this is the best. By the way, I keep them handy atttached to cabinet doors, my rollator, and even the headboard just using velcro.Product Review: Rothman

I have several of these grabbers.I keep one in the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen,and basement.I am handicapped and they are a great help in picking up things or help in getting dressed.I would be lost without them. With constant use will break in about 15 years.Product Review: Usefulness

I am very pleased to have bought the Duro-Med Aluminum Reacher. It has proved very helpful after my hip replacement.If I had to do it again I would buy the longer version. The little hook does a lot of little jobs when dressing and undressing. My only reservation, that's why I gave it 4 points instead of five, the black moving finger at the bottom is easily dislodged to the side of the rod.

The grasping mechanism for this device works well enough for the purpose I purchased it for - I'm short and need to be able to reach items in my upper cabinets. However, I decided on this particular product because of the magnetic tip, which, unfortunately, simply does not work. The "magnet" is very small - about the diameter of a pencil eraser - and the one on the item I received has absolutely no magnetic properties at all - objects as light as a paper clip won't even adhere to it. Had I known this, I would have purchased a different model.Product Review: great
