This product works very well for keeping my cast dry in the shower. With a nylon sock over the cast, it slides off and on relatively easy, and it has held up for about a month so far.
The only downside is that it is supposed to be long enough to fit over the knee, but it is too short for me and I have to wear it just under the knee, even though I am only 5'9"" tall. So taller folks might want to purchase the full leg protector.

I love this waterproof cast cover! The Duro-Med protector is so much easier and sanitary than a trash bag and duct tape. And it really does keep the cast dry. I highly recommend it for anyone who has to wear a cast.

The handle tie trash bags worked fine. I ordered this in my Vicodin-induced haze. When I got it, it was way too long. I guess I ordered the long version, but there's no way I could tell what the difference since they didn't describe short vs. long. I figured short was midget-sized or something. So don't order the long version unless you're abnormally tall, like 8 feet because I'm 5'7" and it's freakishly long. I can still use it, but I didn't have a problem with handle-tie garbage bags either when I was showering. I definitely wouldn't use this or a garbage bag to soak in the tub though. Both would leak.
