Customer Review: Wasn't sure about strength but it works great!

I was a bit skeptical about whether this would work for me, but it seems to be fine. I use my 17" MacBook (not that light) on it most of the time and it holds up well.
The tray nicely curves itself around my belly and the velcro straps are pretty tight. I think my elbows being on the tray reinforce its stability. I'm still not sure whether I would leave the laptop on the desk without me in the wheelchair - maybe over time the velcro might work itself loose but I don't want to test for that.
Since I have a neuropathy rendering my legs mostly useless, the transparent tray is useful for locating my feet (or I would not know where they are) so this tray works perfectly. It's also light enough for my weakened arms to install tt without help.
Most other places, especially those for wheelchair accessories, don't really offer much at this price, plus Amazon's return and refund policies are better than most other businesses.
Bottom line is, I'm happy with this product and its performance. Five stars.
If you feel the velcro is inadequate it's cheap to get another pair of strips. I thought I'd need some but haven't needed them.
