This cushion works just as well as I hoped it would to keep pressure off sore areas. It is firm and holds up well with extended use. I now own 3 of them: one for home, one for office, one for car. I have lower back pain and sciattica. I think I originally got this way from a poor car seat in a car I owned several years ago. I bought this seat pad along with the lumbar support pad from the same company. Firm, very firm, but I love it. Wouldn't drive without it.Product Review: Works great!

I gained a ton of weight with my pregnancy and found sitting on certain types of chairs to be really unbearable as I get closer to the end. This little thing has made sitting totally bearable no matter where I've been. I've never had problems like this before and have no tolerance at all for pain. I bought this for my husband who just had hip surgery and is having a hard time getting comfortable. It actually made things worse....the uneven pressure doesn't work for this kind of surgery. Other than that.......it is well made and would probably serve other purposes better.
