Let's face it, there is an ever increasing number of gadgets and other electronic equipment that need "AA" sized batteries to operate: penlight flashlights, remotes, MP3 players, wireless keyboard & mice, digital cameras, portable GPS devices; well you get the picture. In a bid to save money on batteries and, well, lower my carbon footprint, I switched to re-chargeable batteries, but they proved unequal to the task(s) at hand, so I switched to Duracell Coppertop "AA" Sized Alkaline 1.5v Battery's in a bid for longer lasting power.
The Duracell "AA" Sized Alkaline 1.5v Battery is a 1.5 volt alkaline battery designed to deliver dependable long lasting power for all matter of portable devices. I purchase my batteries at the local grocery store where the prices tend to be a little lower, and of course I always have a coupon or two handy. But, or course, they are available just about everywhere. In addition to the above mentioned uses, I also use the batteries in a portable voice recorder/Cassette, which takes two. Under normal everyday usage (2-3 hours a day) I can expect to get about three months of usage from the batteries in my wireless mouse.
A little history: Duracell, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Procter & Gamble Company, is the world's leading manufacturer and marketer of high-performance alkaline batteries. Duracell also markets primary lithium and zinc air batteries as well as rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries.
Duracell also manufactures alkaline batteries in the following sizes: AAA/AA/C/D/9V/3V, and new AA rechargeable and AAA and AA pre-charged rechargeable NiMH batteries; 3-Volt CR-2, CR-V3, and 123A Lithium Photo Batteries. Duracell also manufactures battery chargers for AAA and AA rechargeable batteries.
If you need a long lasting battery at a (somewhat) reasonable price, you can't go wrong with the Duracell "AA" Sized Alkaline 1.5v Battery.
Product Review: Not what I ordered!

I ordered 2 12 pack resealable AA battery packs. I received 4, 6 pack blister packs. I got no notification of a product alteration. The batteries are fine, the expiration dates are 2012, but I have to deal w/ 4 packs instead of 2 neat sealable containers. Petty, I know, but I wanted what I ordered...Product Review: Terrific size AA batteries for everyone !!!

Duracell makes a great battery; and these batteries will show you just how good they are made once you try them. The "CopperTop" version of these AA size batteries does indeed last longer than pervious types of AA batteries by Duracell. I really like this because I often travel by public transportation and I use my portable CD player to listen to music. I always get several hours more use out of these CopperTop Duracell AA batteries; and that's grand!
Of course, these AA batteries can be used in anything that requires them--not just portable CD players. Moreover, the reclosable storage pack actually does close neat and clean for you so that the batteries remaining inside the package don't get dusty or exposure to any elements if you're outside camping or something.
The 16 pack offers value, too; and that's important in these expensive times! SMILE
I must give you one caveat: use these batteries before their expiration date. The expiration date will always be several years into the future; but some people still have them lying around in a dresser drawer anyway. The problem is not only do they lose their potency; the batteries also begin to corrode. When the batteries corrode eventually a whitish powdery sticky substance begins to leak out of them and this makes a mess--trust me!
Overall, these Duracell CopperTop AA size batteries are the ones to choose if you need AA size batteries. I highly recommend them for any device that needs AA size batteries. Use them in good health and enjoy!
