Product Reviews of Duracell AA 4 Pre-Charged Rechargeable NiMH Batteries DX1500

Product Review: Half-way charged, not Pre-Charged
Summary: 1 Stars

I just received this item to use with my baby monitor which only takes rechargeable batteries. Upon installing these "pre-charged" batteries and turning on the monitor, the battery life was only 50%. What?! These were supposed to be pre-charged?! Then, after charging them when they ran dead, again it's only listing them at 50%. And it only takes a few hours for them to drain completely. What a misleading product.

Product Review: Hoping for white tops but good working well so far
Summary: 5 Stars

Everybody knows Duracell rechargeables are some of the best. I was hoping these would be the white top ones but it looks like Amazon isn't shipping those out anymore. Nevertheless, the batteries have been holding their charge well.

Product Review: I like PreCharged batteries!
Summary: 5 Stars

I got them for $6.45 at Target this weekend. Very good deal and very good quality. Too bad they are all black top (made in China). Only the AAA are still in white top (made in Japan). I need some charged batteries immediately and these served the purpose very well.

Product Review: Inconsistent Batches, this recent one is not recycling an external camera flash fast enough
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought a 4 pack Duracell Precharged 2000mAh about a year ago(does not say Precharged on the battery wrapping), and just bought another 4 pack a few days ago(does say Precharged on the battery wrapping), the recent pack is under performing marginally.

I tested the following brands of precharged batteries with an external camera flash, by taking 10 continuous shots, 3 trial each to get an average, to see how many times the flash will not fire.

* Duracell Precharged 2000 mAh (this pack is the old one that does NOT say Precharged)= missed 1 firing (always the last shot)
* Sanyo Eneloop 2000 mAh = missed 2 firing
* Rayovac Hybrid 2100 mAh = missed 6 firing

* Duracell (this is the new pack that does say Precharged) = missed 6 firing

>> UPDATE <<
I called Duracell on 3/12/2010, wanting to speak to someone about it to understand why the difference. They said that they'll have their quality control department call me back within 24 hours. Today as of 3/17/2010, 3 business days later, have not heard a word from them.

Gonna have to try something else next, maybe Energizer.

Product Review: Incredible rechargeable batteries
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought a couple sets of these white top Duraloops (rebranded Sanyo Eneloop). I have a set of four AA installed in a Fluke LinkRunner Pro network cable tester that gets used on a regular basis and they're still showing full on the same charge since they were bought 8/16/2009.
