This is an extremely well made cushion. It is slightly heavy but it won't be something you necessarily move around much and it does have a carry handle on one side for that purpose.
I bought it for my elderly dad who spends a lot of time now in his electric scooter, and had been complaining of an aching hip at the end of the day.
He says it's very comfortable, and much more cushy than the scooter seat. It does have a "gel" like feel to the top - the bottom may be foam. It did raise him up in the seat a few inches, and I was a little worried he might not fit under the kitchen table when he rolled up to it, but it worked fine.
For the quality and durability of workmanship, I think this is a good purchase.
