Ok, so this is a PERSONAL product for certain...so my review will be my take on this one.
This silicone cup is EASY to insert if you are an adult woman and have sex---even easier if you've given birth, or are well aware of your inner and outer vaginal workings. (i.e. if you are a teen considering purchasing one of the size 1 units, you may want to ask yourself a few questions first: How comfortable am I with inserting a tampon? Do I ever get panicked that my tampon is "lost" or will become lost if the string breaks off?)
Simply put I've used this, and I am squeamish about blood, guts...well, personal stuff, too. And, I can confidently say if you can push out a BM, you can easily push this down, grab the stem and pull it out as you would a tampon. The main thing is, you need to be calm and controlled when inserting and removing the cup & your experience with it will be better than that of a tampon.
Actually, I find this more comfortable to insert than a regular sized tampon. I definitely am pleased with the amount of liquid the Diva holds, and the lack of leaking. I wear only a very (paper) thin panty liner while using this & feel confident there won't be a need for anything more to protect my clothing.
It's definitely more hygienic than tampons and pads. There is ZERO odor.
I thought about buying one of these a year ago & thought I'd never be able to put it in & 'fish' it out properly...I can honestly say, I regret not buying it sooner. The ease of doing exercise, swimming, traveling, you name it, during that time of the month is SOOO much simpler.
