Halleluiah! Thanks to all the positive feedback for this product on this site, I decided to try it. I have IBS pretty severely and nothing else that I've tried worked. So, I was skeptical but thought it was worth a try. I was pleasantly surprised how well it works. It took a couple-three weeks for marked differences to be observed but I can say that it started getting progressively better after the first week of taking these pills and now its orders of magnitude better. Digestive Advantage seems to be a popular company and sells enough of this pro-biotic to ensure that it is fresh--which is a problem with buying stuff at the health food stores sometimes. Anyways, I'm still pinching myself to make sure this is real...it is. I would highly recommend this product AND the Digestive Advantage Lactose Intolerance product as they both have made a HUGE improvement to my quality of life.Product Review: Have IBS??? I have "suffered" from several digestive problems including IBS for six years & have been an out patient at UNC Hospital's GI clinic for five years... with little relief. Finally, did some serious research on my own & found Digestive Advantage IBS, read the reviews & tried it. It really does help & given more time, the product may do even more (have been taking for three weeks). But!!! You must be ready to stay away from all coffees, sodas & chocolate and all foods that cause a spasmodic colon (IBS). Buy a copy of Eating for IBS: 175 Delicious, Nutritious, Low-Fat, Low-Residue Recipes to Stabilize the Touchiest Tummy by Heather Van Vorous, which is much more than a "cook book". This is a great source & nutritional guide for anyone with IBS, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Lactose Intolerance & other digestive disorders. Also, check out another great nutritional source Gastro Intestinal Health a Self Help by Steven R. Peikin, MD. And try the Peppermint Gels by NOW Foods - (181mg - 90 Softgels). I think this product is worth the money. It hasn't cured me of IBS, but it has greatly improved how I feel. I have far fewer attacks of IBS when I am taking this product. To keep it coming on time so I don't have to remember to reorder, I am on the automatic shipment program and I think this is also very helpful so I don't run out of the product and forget to order. I have tried numerous other probiotics without any improvement in my IBS attacks.Product Review: Highly effective product!

I have experienced IBS for over 10 years now. I have been on prescription sedatives at night in the past to control the symptoms only to find stress brought the IBS back. I adjusted my diet to exclude the foods I knew set off IBS and started using this product. I have used this for 1 year now with excellent results. No more sedatives and I still adjust my diet, but the symptoms are almost conpletely gone. I still have some days where it flares, but on average they are only 2-3 per month. I have suffered with IBS for years now, and nothing has helped significantly, though I have tried numerous treatments, both mainstream and otherswise.
I decided to give this product a try after coming across it on the Internet. It was cheap and safe, so I figured I didn't have much to lose.
I am shocked at the difference I have seen after using it for about 5 weeks, and the improvement was almost immediate.
I have had short periods of improvement in the past, so I am hoping that this will continue. But I have been probably 80% better, consistantly, with not a single really bad day in over a month. Given that a "bad day" was fairly common (at least a couple of days a week), this is very encouraging. Even on good days in the past, I still would have discomfort at various times during the day, but since I've been on Digestive Advantage, I have been able to go through most days without paying any attention to my stomach. I havn't felt this way in years!
So, I encourage anyone with IBS to give this a try.
