I purchased these socks because I have tender legs with fluid retention, and trouser socks pinch and leave a painful dent, even the kind that advertise that they don't bind. These socks do the job in that area, the socks stay up and the mark on my leg at the end of the day, although present, is much less. The sock is constructed as a standard sock on the foot part, and looser mesh for the leg portion. The socks are not particularly soft or cozy, but are warm enough, if slightly scratchy. Also, the seam at the toe is thick and took some adjustment to not bunch at the toe of my shoes. Overall, they are regular socks with a more comfortable leg area but a little uncomfortable at the toe.
